BIO

Gilad Deutsch was born in Haifa in 1981.

Studied at the "Sam Spiegel" Film & Television School between 2006 to 2011, specializing in directing and editing.

During his studies he edit several short films:
"Tolka Mama" - by director Mayan Racine, which aired in seven international festivals and won the first film festival Sditz'icorto in Forli, Italy. And was also chosen to be one of the twenty best films at Sam Spiegel's.
"A bed to sleep in" - directed by Or Sigol. Nominated for short film competition at the TLV film festival
Gilad edited the documentary film "Lav davka"  directed by Rona Sofer . The film won first place at the Limited Moscow festival, and Was nominated in several film festivals like the competition "Doc Aviv" and aired on "Yes Docu" channel multiple times.
While in the School Gilad created in two short films:
"Release Party" (celebrating discharge)-2008,  A 13 min Fiction, for which he was granted scholarship from the Cinema Association (2009) and, Papercuts"("Page 68" - in hebrew)-2011,   which won the "people choice" in "Bermuda shorts" film festival in Mannheim, Germany. The movie also won the "people choice" award in "flicks film festival" Munnekeholm ,The netherland.

During his studies he served as an assistant director on the following full-length feature films: "Rabies" directed by Aaron Keshales & Navot Papushad. And "Off White Lies" directed by Maya Kenig. He also served as first assistant director of the short drama "chametz" - Prize Winner for best-short drama in Haifa Festival in 2010.
Gilad edited dozens of promo/intro/ad films for leading Israeli companies, trailers & clips.
After graduation, Gilad worked as First assistant director in the film series "Family may not be chosen" (a remake/take of America's "Everybody Loves Raymond") aired on Channel 2 network. And The short drama "Siren" directed by Jonah Bleicher, As well as multiple music videos & short dramas web-series.
